Only 33 More Goals to Go!!!

I thought I would give you guys an update on my '35 before 35' goal list. In case you don't know what that is, it's a list of goals that I want to accomplish before I turn 35. I'm happy to report that I was able to cross off two of my goals. Yay!!!

What were they?

#12 See my favorite K-pop boy band Big Bang live
Oh yes I did that with a lot of screaming, laughing, dancing, singing, jumping, crying, and hugging my husband. The show was AMAZING and it's a night that I will never forget!

#26 Be more patient about having children - they will come when we are both ready and the time is right
This one came pretty easy to me surprisingly. I never thought that my husband and I would see eye to eye on the children issue. But, I guess with time and reasonably looking at your circumstances, you can come to a logical conclusion pretty quick.

I'm so excited to see what else I will accomplish before I turn 35. I'm still a little hesitant about riding a roller coaster, but since I put it on the list I MUST DO IT!!!

Where Have You Been?

Hello everyone! It's been such a LONG time since I've been on here. So long in fact, that Google automatically logged me out of my blog. Lol! Has anyone ever had that happened to them before?

Anyway, I've been asked by numerous people, "Where are you?" or "Where have you been?". Before I answered the question, let me just say that it's so nice to be missed :)

So, where have I been? Last month was CRAZY!!! As soon as we got back from our road trip to New Jersey/New York, I was flooded with orders from my Etsy shop. It was a very exciting time, as well as stressful. With it being November, I knew that the chances that these orders were going to become gifts definitely spiked my anxiety levels. I was trying so hard to be perfect with every piece, even though I know perfection is impossible. I got through it though with a lot of comfort from the hubs :)

Now that I have some breathing room since the shop has slowed down, I can now get back to blogging. Yay! I would love to share pictures and stories from our road trip we took last month. Look forward to it! Also starting next year, which is oh so far away, I want to cover different topics and features. If you guys have any suggestions as to what you would like to see/read, just let me know.

Anniversary Surprise Video!

Hello everyone! I'm so sorry for being missing in action, but I've been feeling pretty miserable these past few weeks. If it's not allergies, it's Tourette's, and if it's not that it's something else.

You remember me posting about the surprise my husband gave me for our anniversary? Well, my friend edited and posted the video to YouTube. Now, I can finally share it with you guys! I know a lot of stuff that goes on in this video will probably be lost on you guys if you don't watch the web show "It Your Kimchi" on YouTube. So, you just want to see my reaction to the Big Bang tickets, you can skip to 5:30 on the video. Hope you guys enjoy :)

Best Surprise EVER!!!

Hello everyone! I couldn't wait until today so that I could share with you all something wonderful that happened to me over the weekend. My husband, brother, and one of my best friends set me up with the best surprise of all time!

We were making a parody video of a YouTube show called "Eat Your Kimchi" where a husband and wife discuss various K-pop videos and life in Korea in general. My role in the show was to be a rabid fan who just won tickets to see Big Bang live, who just happens to be my favorite k-pop group. Needless to say, I didn't know that the ticket I was given was REAL!

That's right, my husband is taking me all the way to New Jersey so I can see Big Bang! That is his anniversary gift to me! Hands down, I have the most awesome and thoughtful husband of all time! Plus, my brother is going with us...ROAD TRIP! Now I can mark this off my '35 Before 35' list!

I tried to upload the video so you could see my response, but it's not working :( Let's just say, there was a lot of crying and screaming on my part. LOL!

I had to change the title this time around because today I want to share with you some cute gifts that can be customized. I love those kinds of gifts! Maybe it has to do with my name. AWA Pictures!

Wow! It's been FOREVER since I've been on here. I'm sorry about that, but I was completely zonked coming back from AWA. I was tired and I had orders to make from my Etsy shop. Now that I have a chance, I want to share some pictures with you guys.

Surprisingly, I didn't take as many pictures as I thought I would. Guess I was having way too much fun with my friends to whip out my camera. These pictures are from Saturday. A friend and I dressed as two characters from the anime Kenichi - History's Strongest Disciple. I was Kisara Nanjo and my friend was Hermit. I think we did a pretty good job!

Kisara Nanjo - my character

Me and my friend dressed as our characters

Our lame fight scene! LOL!
(Yes, that is a weeping angel from the Dr. Who series in the right hand corner. Thankfully they are my friend so I didn't get too scared)

Group shot of me and some of my friends. That's my brother in the back looking all crazy! I didn't get a picture of him, but he did a punk version of Storm from X-Men. It was really cool!

This is my friend Jenn who did an awesome job steampunking one of the Sailor Scouts from Sailor Moon. I can't remember which one she is though :)

And last but certainly not least, is my friend Jake who dressed as the 10th doctor from Doctor Who. We couldn't take 2 steps without someone stopping him and asking for a picture. He deserved it though. He was THE BEST doctor that was there, hands down! And I'm not just saying that because he's my buddy :)

How Different Could I Possibly Look?

Something fun for this Friday!
This post is long overdue. Last month, I joined a party called 'Me, Myself, and I' where you answer 5 questions about yourself and then post your answers up on your blog for everyone to read. You can read it here

One of the questions was 'If a front page article was written on you, what would the headline be?'. Well, I cracked everyone up with my answer. My answer was 'Serial Bank Robber Stomps Police'. Now why would I put that?

Yes, that is me up above. Granted I have a wig on my head, but still you can tell I look COMPLETELY different. Whenever I straighten my hair, I always get someone who doesn't recognize me. When I was in college, I walked into my CPT 101 class only for my professor to tell me that he thought I was in the wrong class. Once he heard my voice he realized it was me...only because of my voice!

So now you understand why I put that as my headline! LOL! In no way do I condone stealing or even do it myself, but it's amazing how a different hairstyle can make you unrecognizable.

For those who have been waiting a whole month to see these pictures, I'm so sorry for the wait. Please don't be too mad at me :)

If You Really Knew Me...

Before I get started on today's post, I just wanted to let you ladies know that I have a giveaway going on over at Agape Love Designs & Photography. Click the link below to participate.

Now...for today's post :)

You'd know that I can't swim...unless I wear my life vest. I don't care if people make fun of me while I'm in the pool, I'm having fun not drowning. LOL!

You'd know that I've worn my hair natural for about 5 years. That means that I do not use any type of chemical in my hair to straighten it. Yes, those are all natural curls on my head.

You'd know that despite appearances, I struggle with major depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder on a daily basis. The smile on my face is real, but sometimes it's a mask so I don't make others worry about me.

You'd know that I use to write poetry from the hurt and pain that I experienced. But after I met my husband I couldn't write anymore because I no longer felt that hurt or pain.

You'd know that my favorite season is Fall and my favorite kind of day is a rainy day. It's raining here and I'm so happy right now :)

You'd know that even though I'm suppose to stay away from gluten, I'll sneak a cookie or cupcake in my mouth in a heartbeat! LOL!

What's something that I would know about you if I really knew you?

Interested In Becoming A Blog Angel?

You might have heard the name 'Blog Angels' popping up all over your social media over the last few months and wondered, what ARE they going on about?
Blog Angels is run by Rosie at Craftbotic. Every two months 100 bloggers get the opportunity to help each other out, build friendships and community in the Blogosphere.
The principle is easy. By signing up to be a Blog Angel you are promising to help another blogger for a whole month.  The least you need to do is comment twice a week on their blog, but the possibilities to do more is endless.
In the first two rounds of Blog Angels we had people commenting, guest-posting, giving social media shout outs, new blog design features and warm words of encouragement. Some people swapped addresses and sent little packages. The choices are endless.
So what's the catch? Well, it's all done in secret. For this round, things are changing slightly. Here are all of the details:
1. Sign up is on 15th September. The form you fill in can be found at Rosie's, but also on these sites:
 2. The form is slightly more detailed to help with the matching process. It still takes less than 5 minutes to complete though.
3. The project will start on 1st October and will be secret for the first two weeks. This will allow you to get to know your blogger, build up a relationship and start to act to help them. You would need to as a minimum comment twice a week on their blog.
4. After two weeks you link up a 'reveal' post at Craftbotic on 15th October.
5. You can then communicate with your blogger and give them more specific help, build friendships and develop your role. This is the newest part of the project and came out of a long conversation with the angel regulars.
6. On the 31st October you write a 'reflection' post reviewing your experience of Blog Angels and what you achieved with your Blog Angel.
It's pretty simple. These small steps will help you to be part of growing community of bloggers who care.
On a serious note, there is always a 'drop off' of Blog Angels. Those folk who get busy and disappear. Apart from being incredibly uncool, it is completely unnecessary. Please make sure you have time to help out in October BEFORE signing up. If life gets crazy you just need to email and let Rosie know. Orphaned bloggers can then be reassigned.  In Blog Angels the only thing you are guaranteed is the opportunity to help some-one else.
What an amazing opportunity that is! The first 100 people to sign-up before 25th September will be taking part. We all hope that it will include you!

5 Great Etsy Gifts For Clock Lovers!

When I was in school, I dreaded this clock. Not because it calculated how much longer I had to stay in school that day, but because it was so boring to look at. I mean really, if you want to keep kids engaged in their lessons, give them something better to keep time with than this boring old thing. Lol!

If you ever felt like I have, then enjoy these unique and colorful clocks I found on Etsy. I'm pretty sure that if one of these clocks were up in the classroom I was in, I would think my teacher was pretty cool.
